  • Overview

    Mediscan School Based Therapy is currently seeking 2 School Psychologists to provide services to either a K-5th grade population in two local Elementary Schools, or a Middle and High School population. Immediate interviews are being conducted.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Consult with school personnel, parents, and students
    • Serve as a member of the Response to Intervention (RTI) team with K-3 teachers; reading specialists and resource support teachers to improve reading achievement for at-risk students
    • Serve as a member of each school’s Instructional Support Team (IST)
    • Serve as a member of the school’s MiBLSi or PBIS team, if applicable
    • Serve as a member of the Individualized Educational Planning Teams (IEPT) as needed
    • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students suspected of cognitive impairments, emotional impairments, autism, specific learning disabilities, early childhood developmental delays, traumatic brain injuries and severe multiple impairments
    • Coordinate the initial IEPT for students suspected of Cognitive Impairments and Specific
    • Collaborate with special education teachers in the completion of Review of Existing Evaluation Data (REED) for three year evaluations
    • Re-evaluate students receiving Special Education Services, as needed
    • Provide professional development for teachers
    • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) and participate in Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDR) as needed
    • Provide Crisis counseling as needed
    • Complete and submit all required records and paperwork including evaluation reports, IEP forms, statistical and Medicaid reports; and other responsibilities and duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    • Master's Degree
    • Applicable State Licensure
