    Mediscan is currently interviewing for 2 Speech Language Pathologists to work in local schools. These positions are available for new graduates, and  supervision will be provided. Veteran therapists are also encouraged to apply. The selected candidate will conduct speech-language evaluations of students based on referrals submitted by teachers and parents. The Speech and Language Pathologist must be knowledgeable about a variety of topics including evaluation methods, instructional materials, and skill to implement intervention strategies to all students. Provide direct services to students with and without special needs and collaborative consultation services to their parents and school staff.

     

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations
    • Generate written reports on students following evaluation
    • Develop appropriate strategies and service delivery models to meet individual student needs
    • Serve as a resource to staff and parents regarding speech and language issues
    • Maintain up to date knowledge of current research and methodology in speech language pathology and related areas
    • Attend MET’s, IEP’s, and school staff meetings, as requested
    • Participate in educational and professional committees

    Requirements:

    • Master's Degree
    • Applicable State Licensure
